MARION M. OLINER is a practicing psychoanalyst, author, teacher, and PhD in clinical psychology. Her first book, “Cultivating Freud’s Garden in France” is a major account of the French tradition of psychoanalysis. She has closely studied the effect of the Holocaust on the second generation. Her most recent volume, theorizing the impact of external reality on psychic reality, is “Psychic Reality in Context: Perspectives on Psychoanalysis, Personal History and Trauma.”
